The
Photographer
I've
been interested in photography since I was very young. I began at
around twelve with a cheap 35mm compact, which broke after about
three rolls of film. Several years later, I began hiking, and I
rediscovered the desire to see the world through a lens. I borrowed
my uncle's old manual Pentax to record my outdoor adventures, but
I soon realized that I needed my own system after I fell in a creek
and nearly broke his camera. In 2001, I bought my own camera, and
have since seen my interest and skills develop every year. I currently
use Canon digital SLRs, and I spend as much time with my camera
as possible. When I'm not behind a camera, I enjoy movies, books,
and I occasionally play the guitar.
While
nature photography is my first and still greatest passion, I've
also done some wedding work, product photography, and portraits.
I've enjoyed the variety of experience, because each individual
style of photography brings different challenges and require development
of new skills.
